New Patients

We welcome New Patients to the practice!

Please call 01202 888303 or message us on the ‘Contact Us Form‘ to make a new patient consultation.

At your initial appointment we will ask you to complete a Confidential Medical History Form and a New Patient Check form (alternatively click on link to print and complete one prior to your appointment). Please let the practice staff know in advance of your appointment if you have any information or communication needs.

During your appointment the dentist will:

  • Discuss any problems or concerns you may have
  • Assess your teeth and gums
  • Undertake any necessary x-rays
  • Explain your personal written treatment plan, with options and estimates
  • Give you personal advice on your oral care

We always try to arrange appointments at a time convenient to our patients. For this reason, we have early morning appointments most days and late evening sessions on the occasional Wednesday. If you have made an appointment which you subsequently find you cannot keep, please give as much notice as possible so we can give the appointment to another patient who may need to see us at short notice.

Missing appointments wastes time and resources, which are needed for other patients. Our practice policy is that if, on more than one occasion, patients cancel with less than 24 hours’ notice or do not attend an appointment, we will impose a minimum charge of £16.00. We will of course take any special circumstances into account.

Payment Methods

It is our practice policy to give patients full information about the cost of their dental care before any treatment is undertaken.

You may pay for your dental care ‘as you go’ by cash/cheque/credit/debit card. Our patients may also join either Denplan Care or Denplan Essentials (from Simply Health Professionals) – a private dental care scheme for a modest monthly payment. Existing Denplan members wishing to join our practice will need to re-register with the new dentist and complete any outstanding treatment prior to joining.

Behaviour

Patients who are violent or abusive to practice personnel, to other patients or anyone else on the practice premises will be refused treatment and reported to the appropriate authorities.
